Current political mudslinging getting very tiresome by Harold Jones Feb 13, 2007 These days all we seem to hear from candidates is political rhetoric, personal attacks and avoidance of any substantive statements or ideas. Standing up for anything seems to be avoided at all costs. |

I don't know about you but I would really like to hear some new ideas for taking America into the future. All we seem to hear are nebulous concepts, watered down logic, and complaints or attacks against the other candidates. In this ever changing and dangerous world we need leaders with conviction, experience and plans for the future (plans that are conveyed to the voters). A simple strategy like "Throw the bums out" may win the election, but it will not help us understand what we need to do to preserve our freedoms, way of life, etc.. As voters and citizens we are tasked to decide who we support based on who is best representing our interests as well as the overall interests of the country and society. Open your eyes and your minds keep focus on the right candidate - not just the right party. This presidential election may be one of the most important to the survival of America. |

2007-02-14 08:48:08 It seems that the presidential elections of recent past have all boiled down to trying to pick the lesser of two evils. It would be nice to get some real shakeup in the political arena. This elections is shaping up to possibly provide that shakeup, I can't wait. | |
